In 2016, USA Today launched its integrated news app. With an international readership as large and diverse as theirs, they needed to shine a light on the range of interests one can explore across its sections.
So we pulled out the paper and scissors and called our friends at Down the Street Designs to make this multimedia spot. Leveraging a hybrid of stop-motion and traditional animation, we were able to make the app come to life in ways that it would have been impossible to do otherwise. It found a home on USA Today’s website, Instagram feed, and even the twinkling lights of Times Square!
